BRIAN D. ROMAN
 
A partner of the firm, Brian D. Roman has over 20 years of legal experience in commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters in Texas state and federal courts, representing plaintiffs and defendants across a wide variety of industries.

Brian has significant experience in Texas and Louisiana in breach of contract actions, business torts, products liability, oil, gas and energy-related transactions and litigation, including acquisitions and divestitures of producing properties, environmental damage lawsuits, plugging and abandonment obligations, trials and appeals in both state and federal courts in Texas and Louisiana.  Brian also has experience serving as a court-appointed receiver and monitor for the Federal Trade Commission in connection with multi-million-dollar transactions.

Brian’s bankruptcy experience includes representing and advising trustees, creditors’ committees, plan agents and corporate clients in complex Chapter 11 cases across numerous industries.  Brian has a great deal of experience prosecuting and defending various adversary proceedings and contested matters, including breach of contract actions, preference actions, fraudulent transfer actions and claim objections.

Brian began his legal career at a large, international law firm.  Prior to practicing law, Brian served ten years in the United States Air Force.
